Designing a water feature is a matter of considering 4 major steps;
- Design specification. Why do you want a water feature? Is it to create sound (i.e. drown out other noises), privacy screening. Is it to run all day long, all year round. Whats needs does it need to qualify?
- Logisitics - do a site inspection. Analyse space, electrical supply, site conditions i.e. wind factor, visibility etc
- Decide on a design. Do a simple sketch of what the design will look like.
- Draw up a list of components and material that you will need to complete the project
